Punggol Seventeenth Avenue
Have you heard of this place?
Have you been there before?

What about Marina Country Club & Resort
at Punggol Seventeenth Avenue?

My first time there on 24th Aug 2009.
The destination was Sakura (Charcoal Grill & Shabu Shabu)
in the country club.

It really took much walking effort before reaching the place,
IF you are travelling without a private transport.

After the 20 minutes or so of walking along the winding ulu road,
we have reached!
Time to feast!
Initially I thought it would be a buffet style like the other Sakura outlets,
but the style of cooking here was grilling and steamboating..
(much to my disappointment at first.. had wanted so much to have a buffet!)
Nonetheless, after looking at the wide variety of food (it claims to be 200+ food items),
I began to feel a little excited.

So there we go!

We were tooooo full to enjoy these dessert.

Stomach filled with lotsa meat.. hehe

That put a full stop to my Monday night. =D

Thursday...

me & wendy signed up for this particular bank, X's credit card,

with this so-called sales personnel.

We filled in the form and all.

Then were told to mail all the documents out ourselves.

Reasonable.. cos we were still short of a couple of documents.

That same day, in the evening,

that sales personnel called me up, asking if I have mailed the envelope.

I said perhaps later in the day.

At night, he smsed again, asking the same question.

Upon seeing that message,

I felt rather annoyed.

Haha.. I didn't reply him lolz

The next day, Friday.

He repeated what he did the day before.

Calling and smsing..

I only replied his sms.

I didn't really like such persistant (死缠滥打) person.

I know he could be desperate to meet his sales target or something,

but it won't leave a very good impression about his service.

That brought me to think about what service is

and how to make customers happy.

If I didn't truly want to apply for the card,

I would have been so annoyed that I won't sign up with him totally.

Because, simply I don't feel good about his service attitude.

Anyway, what came unexpected was,

he popped up a personal question directly to me..

Hah.. I chose not to answer. =D

I'm blogging again!
Just that I wanted to consolidate the past week's events/activities before I blog all at one go. =)

Although this topic has become a norm somewhere, elsewhere,
I guess I still need to blog about it, right?
FIRST WEEK Of WORK,
that is.
One of the milestones in everyone's life.

Management Services Officer (MSO),
that's my designation. =)

Albeit the multiple jitteries on the eve of my first day,
those seem to subside,
when I meet my colleagues who seem nice and fun,
when I see my working environment.

Something worth mentioning was the 2-day service workshop I attended.
Colleagues from the other different departments,
of various age ranges,
though not many are in the twenties.

Two interesting observations I had made:
First is, there are people who look really young and might be mistaken to be around the same age as me,
but in fact, they are married or they have worked in the organisation for many many years.

In relation to the first, I was going 'Wow!' when I saw that the most enthusiastic person in the training group was actually a 60-year-old man.
It's really nice to see that despite his age, he was able to interact well with everyone,
actively participate in the activities and not being afraid to lead the group at times.
A very commendable spirit!

Aside from the above,
first week of work has gotten me bombarded with many information,
though no serious work to commence on as yet.

I just am not used to the fact that I have to wake up sooo early in the morning!
Boohoo..
quite a dread..

Hope this long National Day weekend has gotten me recharged in terms of sleep hah.
Had fun too though.
Went to the NDP vicinity
and caught the fireworks just right above me.
Nice!
I'm determined to get the NDP tickets one of these years.
Always failed in the balloting =(

kk..gonna enjoy the rest of the holiday! Ciao~
