___________________________Thursday 23 Aug 07It has been one week plus since the start of the new semester.
It's Year 3 for me!
Feels so old, seeing the unfamiliar freshmen faces on campus.
The only thing that makes me feel a little younger
was the in-coming batch of my year guys,
we are of the same age though we gals are their seniors now! Hoho.
Haven got to bump into them yet,
except one who was my sec school classmate.
Surprised that he could still recognise me hee...
Nice to see people I know... =)
Hmm.. somehow this semester brought on a different meaning for me.
Can't really sieve out how I feel exactly.
Perhaps it's the people I'm with this new term.
A couple of my OG frenz were going for SEP soon.. so won't be seeing them in sch.
Got to be in the same class with a few others
whom I didn't get the chance to work with previously.
Learnt about motivation this morning in my Organizational Behaviour class.
What is it that motivates or can motivate people?
Of course, there exists many different theories in their attempts to explain it.
Motivation to study is one thing.
We study for the sake of a degree;
We study for the sake of gaining a higher education;
We study for the sake of hoping to get a good job in future.
Ever thought of our motivation to go to school? Lolz
Well, pertaining to those who don't stay on campus,
what gives you the motivation to spend those hours & minutes travelling to school?
Of course, we go to school for lessons, we go to school for activities.
That's what I categorised them as 'extrinsic motivation'.
As for the 'intrinsic motivation',
we go to school to hang out with frenz,
hoping that we can seek some enjoyment through the interaction,
to relive in the fun and laughter just by spending time with one another
in class, outside class and/or during breaks.
It can be the people in school
who give you the motivation to go to school;
It can be the canteen food (esp. the Arts Canteen - The Deck!);
the bazaars at Central Forum;
the concerts & performances at UCC;
the various extra-curricular activities, etc.
The bottomline?
Enjoy school life as much as you can! =D
