Was watching Triumph in the Skies on youtube. There's this short story told which has a very typical moral behind it.
The Chocolate Story [modified slightly cos I can't exactly rem some minute details =) ]
Once upon a time, there's this guy called Taro. He was in his garden one day when a crane flew straight down from the sky. It was injured. Feeling pity for the crane, Taro cautiously cuddled it in his both hands and brought it into the house, to nurse it and to care for its wounds.
A few days later, the crane was fully recovered. It didn't stay long at Taro's house. Instead, it immediately flew off. Taro, however, was not upset that the crane was gone just like that. He was actually glad and grateful that it had regained its energy and was not borne with injuries and pain.
Another few days later, Taro was again in his garden. In flew the same crane that he had nursed to recovery. A seed dropped from the crane's beak. Wondering what it was, Taro looked at the crane but of course, he couldn't understand the species' language. The crane then slowly guided Taro out. They came to a bigger garden where Taro saw a very beautiful lady standing at the red bridge. It was love at first sight for them. The lady, whom Taro came to know her name as Sakurako, mentioned that the seed that Taro had was a chocolate seed which they could grow. Hence, they tried planting it and indeed, tasty chocolate eventually became the product of the harvest. It became their source of living.
On this gorgeous day, Taro and Sakurako were immersing themselves in the nice weather, enjoying the panomaric scenery from that red bridge. Little did they know that their time together was up. Sakurako collapsed. All Taro could see thereafter was that crane, that crane who had brought him the chocolate seed. Now, he realised that the crane was actually Sakurako.
Albeit his devastation of losing Sakurako, he worked hard in his research on chocolate seeds and finally produced the most tasty chocolate ever, in memory of his beloved.
The moral of the story which Sam in the Triumph in the Skies had said, "Cherish before it's too late."
Indeed, we always would hear such a quote - to treasure those around you all the time. But I feel that for most of the time, humans being humans, we tend to take people and things for granted until the day we actually lose them or going to lose them. Though we might often tell ourselves that we would cherish this person, that person, but do we actually do it? I dunno. Anyway, what does it mean as to treasure someone/something? What actions must we do or what words must we say to show that? Can't really pinpoint many right? Hmm... so it might be when we subconsciously do it then it goes to show that the cherish is straight from the heart. =)

I was on the plane again to the Land of Smiles, Thailand, this time, on the budget airline. It's not that bad on the overall, though a lil' noisy but acceptable and takes a slightly longer time to travel but schedule is on time.
Landing at the new Thailand airport, the exterior architectural design is rather awesome, being much more sophisticated and reminds people of the Sydney Opera House though. However, I feel that the lightings inside are quite dim, or is it supposed to be that way? Anyway, one thing to be lauded is its much spacious area in the airport, making it less squeezy and seeminly less crowded. More breathing space. Haha.
Reaching the hotel, we were informed that there were no available double room and were offered an executive suite for us, 4 girls. Justina and I were especially amazed by its exquisiteness and were also allured by the spectacular Bangkok city lights overlooking from the window. But, we stayed there just for one night... a bathroom for 4 girls was not a very good idea. Lolz.
I was glad that we were able to pay a visit to Bangkok's Dreamworld. Quite fun for a half-day visit, with lotsa pictures that could be taken. It's really like a dream world for there were numerous fairy tale iconic structures to be taken with.
I especially like the fairy. Hope it can make my dream come true with a swing of its magic wand. Hee.
I still remember vividly what happened in the Haunted Mansion. Tell you a secret, I guess it 'scares' me more to be in a total dark place like the Haunted Mansion with occassional scares coming out of nowhere than to watch a horror movie haha. It reminds me of FOC's Fright Nite. Lolz. But one thing which caused me to laugh till my stomach hurt and tears welled up was how I was grabbed by my bag by Justina's sister and how her head kept leaning against my back, giving me a ticklish feeling. Quite hilarious.. till the 4 of us were rolling on the floor laughing hard after we came out of the mansion. (exaggerating =p)
Hey, and we visited the 7 Wonders of the World in like less than half an hour!
The Statue of liberty, the Taj Mahal... blah blah...The 3rd day was really shopping time. No time to shop all of the new Platinum Fashion Mall and the well-known Mah Boon Kong (MBK) shopping centre. I din really buy that much stuff.. just about 8 tops, 6 pairs of footwear, 4 packs of titbits, a few accessories, some souvenirs.. haha ya lor... as compared to Wendy!! Lolz. She always buys so many things heeee...
Oh ya oh ya... I like the Meiji milk! Strawberry and chocolate flavoured. It became our 'staple drink' for the trip. I even bought 2 bottles on the last day at the airport. Drank one on the plane and regretted not buying more bottles arhahaa.. Wendy thought I was crazy to want to bring milk back.. but it's very nice leh.. not too sweet for flavoured milk. There should be this brand of milk sold here in S'pore I think. Will check it out soon =)
So... home sweet home.. missed my bed haha.. but I can't sleep in today! Got to wake up at 8am when I only reached home after midnight. Had a 2nd internship interview with Parkroyal Hotel this morning. Actually, I wouldn't say it's exactly an interview. The training manager gave me more details of what the Human Resource department entails and what I would expect to be doing if I join them next summer vacation. The 2 major projects that I can be exposed to during the internship would be the Employee Satisfaction Survey analysis and the Employee Performance Appraisal exercise which they would be doing during the time when the internship starts. She cautioned me about the possible longer hours since this is part of the service industry. So she asked me to consider and give her a reply. Well, I think I would want to experience that, see how long the working hours can be and whether it will still be my preference to be in this industry. =) Anyway, it's sort of a dream come true to be engaged in the hospitality industry heehee. So the fairy at Dreamworld has worked its magic? Lolz

It was a good night sleep for me last night. A pleasant and uninterrupted one filled with different stories in my dream. It brought me from one scenario to another. Although I do not quite remember all of them vividly, there's one particular one which really stays in my mind until this moment in time. A little sweet... and quite unexpected. I wonder what was I thinking before that which led to that dream. =)
Well, that sleep had kinda rejuvenated me after a couple of days of consecutive activities which left me with not much of my own time. Hence, I find it grateful to have this Sunday devoted to myself. Apart from having to pack my luggage for the Bangkok trip tomorrow, I guess I'll just briskly go through the day doing nothing much, enjoying the cool weather and the relaxing mood, to gear up for the following 4 days of playing time!
Shall let this holiday be a time to reorganise my thoughts and feelings. Hopefully, I can come back with a clearer picture of what I want in my future career path and how I want to face up to certain things. Secretly I wish, may the following year to as smooth-sailing and let things be simple. =)
And, I find it intriguing to build up and perhaps strengthen the friendship with people. Getting to know them better, sometimes, can be a form of a new discovery which allows us to see the other side of them. The refreshing image definitely can touch you close to your heart.
On last note, close to one week more before Xmas and the ushering of the New Year. A heartwarming opportunity to spend it with your loved ones and friends. =)

Hey hey I'm here to harp about my aspiration again. Haha. I seem to really really like the airport environment alot.
Just spent a night at the airport yesterday. Quite a good experience as I'd witnessed the surrounding's 'transformation' from a bustling atmosphere late at night to a quiet ambience some time after midnight. The airport then comes alive again before dawn break. I felt so much at ease, enjoying the serenity of the place, with most activities coming to a halt, thus the chilling and peaceful background of the airport can really relax a person to his bones. However, noticing that certain 24-hour cafes have staffs working on their chores, servicing customers who are present during this inactivity period, sends a flush of gladness through me. Without them, travellers who have to stay in the airport for some reasons have a place for coffee and tea, cakes and pastries.
Then I observed some travellers in the departure transit hall taking a rest or catching a wink of sleep in the comfy sofa-seaters. It made me wonder whether why were they here when no flights were functioning at the timing. Of course, that's just a swift thought that crossed my mind. The reasons could include the transition period in between flights and an unforeseen situation with regards to the flight timing. No wonder, the CAAS and SATS have done quite a great job in making the transit areas as comfortable as possible with the many different in-bound facilities to keep them occupied during the momentary stay.What caught my attention most was seeing the airport staff dressed smartly in their uniforms. Pilots with their 3 or 4 stripes. Gorgeous stewardesses and dashing stewards preparing for their flights. Front-line employees attending to the queue of passengers who are checking in. The 'wow' word just popped out in my head.
Nonetheless, I wonder how can I pave the path towards this all-time dream of mine. =)

一个人的内心世界是怎样的呢？
有朋友曾跟我说过， 我们的内心所发出的真情和渴望会在梦里演现。也许她说得对吧。我一直都觉得在梦里，我们真的可以很幸福，有时它可以像天堂般的一幅景色，让我们陶醉在其中。
但谁能真正了解我们的内心世界，了解我们要的是什么，寻找的是什么。
有时我们认为自己懂得很多，但事实并不如此。
也有时我们刻意压抑自己，不想带给身边的朋友不必要的负担。
人真的很奇妙。。。
我永远搞不懂人的一举一动，更不了解人的心情。
那当然包括我自己在内。=）

Hi again! Here's my first official entry at this blog site. Was quite proud of myself to have done some configuration to the template, especially the embedding of the audio function. It took me quite some time to get it properly done cos no sound came out of the the player initially!
Anyway the song which I'd put up is entitled "岁月如歌" - a Cantonese version sang by Eason Chan while the Mandarin version is "兄妹". This is one song that I've come to like recently after watching the TVB drama "冲上云霄" or "Triump in the Skies" - a fabulous show! Must watch must watch!! Hee.. It revolves around the aviation industry theme, mostly focusing on flying/piloting experience as well as the operations at the airport. Not forgetting... the romance essence of the show which somehow brings up the word "Fate" to my mind. Like the Triangel doll which supposedly was believed to bring together two of the main leads in the show (Yichen & Yishan), however, it twisted into the common saying "有缘无份". Nonetheless, I guess the show will gradually proceed on to tell us that sometimes, the unexpected will thrive, that is, to expect the unexpected. Who knows.. it might bring about greater happiness than we would have thought. The show will gleefully accompany me for the rest of my December holiday. Oh ya... Project Superstar II too. =)
A couple of days ago marked the official end to this semester. I was much more relieved about it than I had thought. It's like the feeling of releasing a prisoner from jail. Haha. Although it's just a short one week of exams for me, the tense and stressful feeling was overwhelming. This is especially so after the finance paper which was really a shock to me. Lolz. The amount of time and stuff I'd studied for it didn't seem to have been utilised much during that 2 hours. The questions that came out were just.... "out-of-the-way".. undescribable. Anyway... I can only hope for my results to average it out on the overall. =)Now, it's time to look forward to some activities...

Christmas... how I wish I can go round taking photos of the Xmas lightings that are put up...
the ushering of the New Year - 2007... time flies...
and perhaps the several outings which I hope will exist haha... especially with my uni friends, some of whom I seldom get to hang out much with this sem. It's time for Kalta outing again! Haha... but some of them seem to have their own activities lined up =(. Will see how ba...
ANd and... not forgetting my JC mates. All were busy with school and NS. It's only during holidays when we can get to meet up yeah?kk... will stop here for now. Have a great holiday and rest, everybody! =)
